Mine Planning and Design
Our comprehensive mine designs are based on best practices and decades of practical operating experience. Underground designs start based on the geologic and physical characteristics of each project. Stoping methods, extraction rates, ventilation, haulage, backfill, utilities, power, communications, equipment selection, and dewatering are all integrated into a cohesive plan which avoids gaps in the system and busts in the budget. Trade-off studies within the mine planning stage maximize economics and efficiencies.
Short Term Planning

Strategic Planning

PIMS uses the Deswik® suite of mining software to integrate CAD with scheduling, Ventsim® for ventilation modeling, and in-house first principles estimating tools for planning. Vulcan® is used for drillhole management and block model validation.
